Medias
I'm not logging every single piece of media I've watched/played/read but simply the one I liked and that I want to talk about. They are not sorted in any particular order. Reviews might contain light spoilers.

My own Private Idaho (1981)
Loosely inspired from the Shakespeare's play, Henri IV, the movie follows the story of two friends, Scott and Mike. Prostitutes, living an unstable life in the streets of Portland, they will go for a trip to Europe in order to find Mike's mom, who disappeared. Mike also happens to be in love with Scott, but it's not mutual.
The film kinda feels like a dream, it's focused mostly on the feelings of thoses two characters. And even if it stays simple sometimes, the way their emotions are expressed is strong. I think we can easily tell that it's inspired from a play, but that's for the better. Their trip is really some sort of adventure, going overseas on a whim, ending up lost in the countryside.
The performance of the two main actors is incredible, and I believe it's one of the best from Keanu Reeves. The fact that Mike is queer also adds a lot. I feel like there's some akwardness in the way both characters communicate with each other. One might describe the plot as simple or common, but it's the way the movie makes you feel things, throught the direction and the acting that makes it so unique.

Cyberpunk 2077 (2020)
The Universe
Cyberpunk 2077 is based on the Mike Pondsmith's universe, which came to life in 1988 with the TTRPG Cyberpunk 2013. It takes place in a dystopian America that has completely fallen to the control of big corporations, such as Arasaka and Militech. More specifically, the game is located in Night City, an autonomous city in California. It has become some kind of neoliberal city where power is owned by corporations through corruption and armed force. The general population is extremely poor and suffers from the corps greed and daily street violence. It's basically today's America, but worst (tho at this point I'm not sure anymore lol)
But the nice thing is that we aren't the general population lol, of course this is Cyberpunk, that means we can get all sort of cybernetic implants to have stronger legs or blades in our arms, which is insanely cool. Also, given that the game is canon to the other cyberpunk medias from Mike Pondsmith, it has an incredible amount of lore to dig into, which makes it even more fun.
The story
You play as V, a lone mercenary who lives by doing some jobs around. One day, you commit a huge heist in a luxury hotel that doesn't go as planned and end up with you plugging an unidentified chip in your brain. Turns out this chip got a a deceased terrorist in your head, Johnny Silverhand. Played by Keanu Reeves, he died in 2023 in the bombing of the Arasaka tower. He failed to escape and they uploaded his soul onto a chip, which we stole 54 years later. You will then desperately try to find a way to get the chip out of your head.
The main story is so great, but it's even better thanks to all the secondary quests that are all as meticulously done and that are as important as the main one. The characters are just so well written, they simply feel real, actual inhabitants of the city and not just some prompt there for a few quests. Obviously, I really like Johnny Silverhand, he's in your head so ofc y'all talk a lot together and the relationship that you build with him throughout the story is simply peak. And again the secondary content adds so much depth to it, it's insane. Gameplay wise, you are probably one of the strongest merc ever, but the game puts the record straight on how insignificant and desesperate you are in this world.
Also, the music is so good, both for the main game and the expansion, the composer (P.T. Adamczyk) did an awesome job.
Phantom Liberty (2023 Expansion)
This expansion adds an entire new plot to the game, way more spy-thriller oriented. V is called to rescue the president of the NUSA who crashed into Dogtown, an autonomous militarized area of Night City. The plot then blends in with your quest of fixing the chip that's inside your head. Even though you physically stay in Night City, the story goes beyond the city's border and dives into the country's politics and the origins of Night City and Dogtown. The characters are again insanely good, it features Idris Elba, who's perfect in his role. I think you shouldn't skip it even on your first playthrough because it really adds a lot.
I don't think I can write down how much I love this game but you should definitely play it, even if the cyberpunk genre doesn't attract you at first, the whole story, characters and everything, makes you feel so much, it is just peak.

Resident Evil 2 (2019)
It is the first Resident Evil I've played, and it really hooked me into the franchise. You can play as two different characters, Leon and Claire, and you have to investigate Raccoon City, where most of the population has turned into zombies because of some virus outbreak. The plot kinda goes deeper, finding out that it might be caused by a pharmaceutical corporation.
In terms of gameplay, this game combines action and survival horror. You spend a lot of time trying to find your way out of places by completing puzzles and looking for items around. While trying to survive zombies and other monsters around. It's really tense, you always have to be careful given that you are weaker than most enemies and that you don't have much equipment and ammos.
It might not be the scariest Resident Evil but it's scary enough for me lol, overall it's probably my favorite RE at the moment.

Resonance of Fate (2010)

Doukyuusei (2006-2022)
Doukyuusei is a BL manga of six volumes, released from 2006 to 2022, it also was adapted in an anime in 2016.
Manga
Basically a very cute and wholesome BL, we follow the two characters throught their senior year of high-school, university and young adult life. I really liked how their relationship was built and evolved, quite struggling with communication at first.
I must say tho that the first one or two volumes also focus on Sajou's music teacher which is 35 and an awful creep with Sajou. He abuses him and tries to interfere in his relationship with Kusabe so I HATE HIM. I can't believe the author wrote an entire spin-off on him like who's the public ehhh whatever
But yea overall it's really cute and everything you should read it.
Evangelion (1995-2021)
Anime + End of Evangelion movie
The beginning of everything, binged it last year when I was kinda winter and uni depressed so it did hit. Of course robots are cool but the story itself is even better, the characters are great especially Kaworu (!!!), not gonna recap the whole story because it goes insane at some point but it's really great. The movie also adds a nice alternate (I think ?) ending to the anime which already ended in a quite crazy way.
Rebuilds movie
As you might know, they released 4 movies from 2007 to 2021, that are some sort of reboots to the serie, offering an alternate course of events. The first two are basically the anime but with modern animation, which is kinda pointless in my opinion but whatever.. The other two tho are really good, Evangelion 3.33 imagines what would the world be after the third impact. A lot of freedom is taken and it really feels even more sci-fi, which I think is great. This movie is also PEAK because it gives us an entire arc just for Kaworu and Shinji. Evangelion 3.0+1.0 marks an end to the entire serie, it's also really good and has quite of an happy ending.
FLCL (2000)
This short anime of 6 episodes is insane, it's a real roller coaster, it's energetic, the story goes in all direction and it never slows down. The characters are fun, the music fits perfectly and the animation is really good too. I think you could define it as much as a cartoon than as an anime but it's peak both ways.
Chainsaw Man (2018-today)
Manga
Basically another story of demons and demons hunter but way more insane. What Fujimoto writes is completely off the charts, every chapter is wilder than the last, the basic concept of demons is unique and so well done. The characters are also great, personnaly i love Aki, Angel (ofc), but also Power and Yoshida. The "bad" demons are also cool af.
You should definitely read it, it's not finished yet but I think it will be soon at some point.
Anime
The first 4 or so volumes were adapted in an anime (2022), and the fifth was adapted in a movie (2025). A second season is in the work. I think they both do a great job interpreting the story, the movie was insane in theater, I definitely recommend it too.
The summer Hiraku died (2021-today)
Manga
It's far from finished but it currently has 7 volumes, it takes place in a small village where a boy who died come back to life without people noticing. The story follows the (ambiguous) relationship between him and his best friend, especially in regard to the fact that some kind of demon replaced his soul or something lol. There is also a whole plot point about the demon stuff being investigated by different officials and non-officials groups.
Overall I really like it, the way the relationship between the two main characters is developped is quite unique and not seen over and over again, the plot is also pretty thrilling. To me it's definitely a BL, even though it's not entirely focused on romance.
Given (2013-2025)
Anime + movies
Probably one of the most famous BL, the manga was adapted in an anime, 3 movies and 2 OVA. A very cute drama BL about a music band and its members. The characters are great and the fact that there are several movies and OVA gives us a lot of content but I still feel like some relationships are kinda rushed. Some of the musics are also great because they are part of the story, tho they are not the masterpiece of the show.
Vampire D Hunter: Bloodlust (2000)
As the name stats, basically a story of a guy hunting a vampire. The atmosphere is great, probably because it's from the 2000, I really enjoyed it.
